Walgreens Trip

So, Kristina sent me an email about her awesome Walgreens trip. She did way better than me and MoneySavingMom started this great idea on some deals Walgreens was running. The biggest deal is that you get $5 register rewards when you spend $25 (before coupons). I didn't have all the sweet coupons I read about and Walgreens here was selling Huggies wipes for $3.29 not $2.79. Still, their back to school saver flyer had $2 Huggies wipes coupons so $1.29 is pretty good for those puppies even w/no additional coupons. I'm going to put my list of goodies on here and feel bad for the poor lady who rang me up!

Transaction #1 (I did two transactions because I knew I was buying a lot and wanted to make sure that if I bought over $50 worth of products I got 2 $5 Register Rewards back...it worked)

6 Pack Dove Bar Soap 5.99 sale price -$1.25/1 coupon
2 Jumbo Packs Pampers 2/$20 - $1.50/1 coupon ($2 Register Rewards)
Total: $25.19 w/tax
Register Rewards: $7

Transaction #2
4 Tubs Huggies Wipes 3.29 - $2/1 coupon in back to school flyer -.75/1 coupon (I only had one!)
4 Velveeta Cups - $1/4 coupon in back to school flyer - B1G1 coupon in paper
3 Kleenex Tissue .99- .50/3 coupon in paper
2 Aluminum Foil 2 for $1
2 Sticks Right Guard Powerstripe Deodorant (the ONLY kind Jason will wear) 3.99 each on sale B1G1

Total: $13.59 w/tax
Register Rewards: $6 (I don't know which item got me the extra $1 in RR's)

So, I got over $55 worth of stuff for $38.78 after coupons/promotions and I got $13 in Register Rewards to use on my next purchase. That's "like" spending about $26 bucks on $55 worth of very necessary stuff! I wonder what will be on sale next week? :)

Tired

My sweet husband and I have been getting up at 5:00 a.m. [wait, the alarm goes off at 5 and disrupts my sleep for the next 9,18, to 27 minutes as we "snooze"] Either way, it's difficult to go to work all day and then come home and cook, feed baby, bathe children, watch Jason do laundry and dishes from my nursing nest, and then find time to watch Project Runway!
This is all besides the suitcase in the middle of my bedroom floor that hasn't been unpacked, the huge laundry basket full of Addie's clothes that haven't been put away because her drawers are full of too tiny clothes that I have no place to put, the grime and nastiness covering the bathrooms and kitchen, the cat hair tumbleweeds, and the evil dog I had to bathe after he covered himself in mud while outside sperlunking under the deck. Oh, while I was bathing Rimshot, the cat jumped on to the dining room table and knocked over Jason's cup of tea. If you've ever seen our cups, you would know the tragedy that ensued. Later, Jason put Addie on the floor to army crawl (we're not to real crawling yet) and she knocked over his second cup of tea. This one was his fault though, but the bummer was that he'd just put all the dirty towels in the washing machine so we had to use a clean one to dry the dog, one to clean the dining room table & floor, and three clean dish towels to clean the living room rug. We created half a load of laundry!
Anyway, here I am at work with my eyes going kinda wankity as they criss cross over each other trying to read the computer screen. At least I got a new prescription the other day. Don't worry, it's only like -/+ blind as a bat in the L and -/+ gonna need bifocals by age 28 in the R. Do you know they can take a picture of your retina now instead of having to dilate your pupils to do some junk? It only cost me $28, but I'm thinking if I can avoid a wreck on the way home and those ridiculous paper cut out glasses things...it's all good! Not to mention that I have to use this cafeteria plan money on something. Okay, I'm just rambling on. My camera is still out of order too, so no pics for now. Jason's mom got some at Freddy's daycare graduation, yes they have graduation for daycare now. He's gone from a grasshopper to a caterpillar...I really think they need a biology class in there, that's not how that works! ;)

Deal Possibility

I love the magazine Real Simple, introduced to me by my pal, Kristina. It is really a treasure extravagance that I have a subscription to it. It is one of my stock birthday/Christmas presents each year along with my Aveda Shampure conditioner and shampoo. Anyway, the September issue has a coupon for a free $10 Target giftcard with any new or transferred prescription to their pharmacy. The magazine is $4.99, so you only get $5.00 really, but you get an amazing magazine filled with great ideas for every day things, some fashion tips, excellent articles, and great recipes. I haven't finished the issue yet, but I wanted to share. I also hear that Target runs this promotion in their weekly ads from time to time, so keep an eye out.

Sleep or Post....

post!!

I am going to post all of my pictures now because I'm a blogger dope and don't know how in the world to keep them from coming in at the top of my post. I hate it, so I'm just putting them all in at the top and I'll give you some narrative down here later! Ha....um maybe I should post my pictures first and then build in my blog around them. DERRR!!!

Okay, prepare yourselves for this cuteness!

You weren't ready for it, were you?

This is an advertisement for yummy California grapes. .97 cents a pound people! They were huge and yummy, even covered with sand.

So, I managed to get one picture of them without Freddy saying, "I feee dowit!" This translates to "I can't do it," and is usually followed shortly by "_______ too big." Fill that blank in with whatever, Addie, his backpack, grocery sacks, anything that he just begged to carry.
Can you see that bitsy tooth down there!

Okay, now for the Western Wedding!

Aren't the kids so cute! I didn't get a good one of Freddy in his hat, but there will be some professional ones to come. I like Addie's face in the other one too, very dainty!

There's Freddy and his Uncle Ben. He was attached to Ben the entire trip and then I paid for it with the rotten terror that got on the plane to go home with me....that person being Freddy.

Me and my bro, ain't he so sweet? He got the same stankin' eyelashes that Freddy has.

Okay, this is not a good picture, but there's an idea of my mom's dress and do. I really can't wait to show you some of the photographer's pictures. Honestly, she really did look lovely and the whole wedding was quite nice. I will tell you though, I never want to live anywhere besides the South. A woman actually walked by me and said, "Wow, lots of things for you to carry." Then she walked over to her husband's car window and knocked on it. He got out, looked at me with my arms full and dragging Freddy across the street to the house and walked away. SERIOUSLY!! I don't have the energy to relive the entire trip, but I wanted to show you pictures that I managed to get with my still jacked up camera. I made it home and I didn't kill or lose either child, so I think it was a success!!

Lousy Lady

So, I'm a lousy poster on my pediddle site here. I am heading off to California tomorrow for my mom's wedding. I'm a nervous wreck! The kids and I are going...without Jason, so my hair may turn gray and fall out before the trip is through. I know we'll have a great time, but I'm quite nervous about the plane ride and the connecting flight in Houston. I'll have lots of stories to tell when I get back. Oh, and thanks to my friend at work, my camera is back in action. I just needed to clean the little gold contact places where it charges. She told me to use an eraser on a pencil to clean them. I did and they turned a completely different color, I guess it's battery residue junk. Now the battery is holding a charge and working great. Saved me some moolah!

Speaking of moolah, Jason just got a job! He is going to be a 9th grade English teacher at Sylvan Hills High. Is that not wonderful??? We are so excited and this is the first time I have ever seen him so truly happy about a job. He can't wait to get the keys to his room and see where he'll be. I want to cry thinking about how much he loves literature and how great he is with kids. Now, as long as he can love teaching some grammar! Anyway, thought I'd share that fabulous news. Last news, I got a new stroller tonight. I need one big enough for Freddy Monster so I don't have to put him on a leash in the airport. Addie's going to ride in her sling. Oh Pray FOR ME!!! It's the MacLaren Volo. Andrea inspired me and I really love it. It's a bit heavier feeling than I thought 11lbs would be though. It's a breeze to open, the canopy is fabulous, it really is pretty light, and the best part is that the weight limit is 55 lbs!! It also has a 5 point harness so I feel secure that Addie can sit in it even as little as she is. It's recommended starting at 6 mos. Oh oh, and it has a mesh back for some nice breeze. It's an awesome stroller! I got it in coffee for both my gal and my boy and any others than may come some day. Well, I'm going to get about 3 1/2 hours of sleep now, yippee!
