Addie's First Birthday Pictures

Ta-da! Finally, some one year portraits. I think that 10 days past a birthday is perfectly fine, right? Technically, I have until January 11th of 2011 1/11/11 until she's not a year old. ;) I was pleasantly surprised by how easy this turned out to be after the minor meltdown when the photographer called to confirm my appointment and informed me that she could not take a picture of Addie in just the tutu or just the bloomers since she's over a year old. I was devastated, because we never got any squishy baby belly roll pictures of her and this is like my last chance. Anyway, I searched her closet, drawers, everything and couldn't find a single onesie that wasn't stained, faded, too small, or just the derned wrong color completely. All of her dresses are too small or very Christmasey, and I just didn't know what to do. I finally remembered a little basket of 12-18 month clothes that I put in the closet for when she grew into them and lucked upon this light pink brand new onesie. It's not exactly what I had in mind, but it was the best I could do on such short notice. I think they turned out pretty adorable, but I'm not very objective!

You may remember this tutu from Halloween!

One of my personal favorites!

She wouldn't hold the one up where you could see it, so I got her to do this by telling her to give it a hug. I held my hands up to my shoulder and leaned my head in and said, "Aww, sweet baby." This is our signal to be sweet, and there she went in for it. That one even got a kiss!

LOVE the pictures! No baby roll pictures aside, you did a great job improvising at the last minute. I would have been so upset too.

Those are adorable pics. I am becoming more and more impressed with JC Penny's photography. They should hire you as their spokesperson!!!

Thanks Kristina, I would not be a very kind spokesperson most of the time. The end results have turned out nicely twice, but the torture you have to go through beforehand is pretty bad. I've decided that's just standard operating procedure when it comes to photos though. Candice, thank you! I was all in a tizzy but I decided that getting some chunker leg pictures was good enough!
